Dear blog,

Dear blog,

i've been thinking a lot about relationships. About the positive and negative aspects, and whether some relationships even deserve the dedicated time. I've been feeling like the expectations for relationships are getting lower and lower. Do men now a days even know what "dates" entail? ........i find this to be an accurate example of a date: anyplace outside the bedroom, and house.

with all of these different observations drawn, i decided that we as women, need to step up. A wise man once told me..." men only do what they are allowed to do." If we allow them to treat us a certain way, they are. plain and simple.

....honestly

i realized that i have taken the route of protecting myself by talking to as many boys as i can. Thats a true confession. Is it healthy or not? who is to say. Forgetting names and calling one by the other by accident can get pretty tiresome. And OLD..thats it! the games are getting old!
but do you ever feel like you just HAVE to play the game, because trusting one will result in too much damage. Maybe i need advice this time.

Sincerely,

Nikki B

  1. came upon this thinggg...girl yes, been there done that...it gets tiring. dealing with too many people just starts making me feel bad because then they start catching feelings and it just gets complicated...

...but yes, I've felt at one point that I needed to play the game, and the only problem is when you actually are dealing with someone who is quality, cutting off the other people can be problematic. I honestly believe the only way to get out of this is to take the time to just get to know a dude completely and truly feel him out and while it might take time, when you find someone you truly click with, that you believe will do right by you go with it...just be careful before you open up your heart completely because that's how you end up hurt.

Remember that while it's nice to have someone you love, that a big part of it is taking a chance that you'll get hurt and deciding if the person is worth the risk.
